About Milly
Milly Routledge, M.Sc., is a therapist and sports psychology consultant dedicated to helping athletes, teams, and coaches navigate the mental and emotional aspects of performance. Specializing in both individual and group counselling, Milly provides tailored strategies that help athletes manage the pressures of competition while prioritizing their mental well-being, relationships, and overall balance. Passionate about improving both athletic performance and mental health awareness, Milly works closely with coaches and teams to develop tools for enhancing performance, as well as recognizing and managing mental health challenges within competitive environments.
With a personal understanding of the psychological and physical demands of elite athletics, Milly brings a unique perspective to her work. As a former swimmer, she finished her career as the most decorated Big East swimmer in history, a 25-time Big East champion, and a member of the Villanova University Women’s Swimming & Diving team.
This experience gives her deep insight into the pressures of competing at the highest level of college sports, which she uses to inform her counselling approach.
In addition to her counselling work, Milly is a sought-after speaker, regularly participating in events across the region to raise mental health awareness and foster community engagement.
